Khaberni - The U.S. State Department has called on its nationals residing in the Islamic Republic of Iran to leave immediately.
The Department also noted in a statement released on the X website on Wednesday that they should follow local media for updates and contact commercial airlines for additional flight information, as Iranian authorities have partially reopened their airspace.
It mentioned that Americans wanting to leave Iran can head by land to Armenia, Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Turkmenistan and advised them not to travel to Afghanistan, Iraq, or the Iranian-Pakistani border area.
It also indicated that the Iranian government might prevent American citizens from leaving or charge them a departure fee from Iran, where dual U.S.-Iranian nationals must leave Iran with Iranian passports.
