Khaberni - Israeli military sources reported that the ceasefire on the northern front is fragile and could collapse at any moment, amid ongoing tensions with Hezbollah.
According to the sources, the Israeli army is determined to complete its control over what it described as the "security zone" in order to prevent direct firing towards the settlements in the north, noting that the return of Lebanese residents to the border villages could "complicate" Israeli army attacks in this area.
They added that Israel is working on establishing new rules of engagement that allow it, according to military directions, to strike any threat or visible rocket launch platforms, concurrently with continuing "clearing operations in the area up to the new yellow line", despite acknowledging that the operation has not yet been completed, amidst American commitment to maintaining the ceasefire during regional negotiations.
These developments occur while Israel continues its violations of the temporary ceasefire, with Hezbollah responding by launching drones and rockets towards Israeli sites, while military sources confirm the interception of other drones within Lebanese territory.
Amidst its ceasefire violations, the Israeli army announced attacks in villages in southern Lebanon, resulting in Lebanese casualties, along with ongoing clashes in areas like Alsloqi and Rab Al-Thalatheen.
Municipalities in southern Lebanon reported ongoing Israeli targeting of residential facilities and infrastructure, despite the ceasefire being in effect, amid escalating warnings of a complete collapse of the ceasefire.
