102 Cameras to Monitor Violations in Amman by the End of April

Khaberni - Shadi Al-Rawabdeh revealed that the number of traffic violation cameras in the capital has reached 102 by the end of the current April, as part of the Greater Amman Municipality's plan to enhance traffic monitoring.

Al-Rawabdeh explained in statements to Ain Radio that the municipality has started operating 20 new radars in vital locations, which helps in reducing monitoring gaps on main roads and improving compliance with traffic rules.

He confirmed that the expansion in monitoring systems has contributed to a 22% reduction in traffic accident fatalities in the first quarter of 2026 compared to the same period last year, noting that the error rate in these systems does not exceed 1%, reflecting their high accuracy.
