Reuters Two Commercial Ships Subjected to Gunfire While Transiting the Strait of Hormuz

Khaberni - Three sources in the maritime security and shipping sector, on Saturday, stated that at least two commercial ships reported being subjected to gunfire during their attempt to cross the Strait of Hormuz on Saturday.

The impact of this has not yet been clarified.

Iran announced on Saturday that it has reclaimed "strict control" over the Strait of Hormuz in response to the ongoing American siege, reversing its decision the previous day to reopen this vital maritime passageway for global fuel trade.

The Central Operations Room of the Iranian forces stated, "Iran has agreed in good faith to allow a limited number of oil tankers and commercial ships to pass through the Strait of Hormuz," but "unfortunately, the Americans continue to practice piracy under what is called a siege."
