Khaberni - The Directorate of Works of Al-Karak Governorate closed on Tuesday the road leading to the Al-Marj area and vice versa temporarily to traffic in both directions due to works related to the cable car construction to ensure the safety of citizens and road users.
The Directorate of Works of Al-Karak has called on drivers to use alternative roads and adhere to traffic instructions until the completion of the works and the reopening of the road.
His Majesty King Abdullah II directed on November 2, 2025, the government to establish a cable car project in Al-Karak, to enhance tourism activity, and enrich the experiences of visitors to archaeological sites.
The Governor of Al-Karak stated in February 2026, that the cable car project in the governorate has entered the final stages of implementation after careful follow-up by the Jordanian team that previously executed the "Ajloun Cable Car" project.
