Khaberni - Minister of State for Public Sector Development Badria Al-Balbisi said that the Jordanian Academy for Government Management is one of the projects of the second executive program for public sector development, emphasizing its importance in bridging the gap between the requirements of various reform projects and the government apparatus's ability to implement these requirements, in addition to addressing the challenges of rapid changes in the nature of government management due to the government's direction towards expansion in digitization and the use of emerging applications.
Al-Balbisi added that the implementation of political and economic modernization requirements depends 70% on the presence of human capacities capable of implementing them, explaining that the current model for training staff will not be sufficient to bridge the required gaps because the current training includes only 20% of the targeted category from the government apparatus, which hinders the cumulative education necessary for acquiring the required skills.
She pointed out that the operational business model of the academy will include digital and self-paced learning models, in addition to a training model in partnership with universities and the private sector, which will expedite the access to a large segment of employees, reaching 220,000 employees who will be included in the training.
She added that the academy's model will include a leadership center, a future readiness center, and a public sector policy center, noting that these centers will work on research and development to support the readiness of the government apparatus.
