Khaberni - Municipalities, Joint Service Councils, and the Directorates of Municipal Affairs in various provinces of the kingdom continue their intensive fieldwork in preparation for celebrating "Flag Day," which coincides with next Thursday.
The Ministry of Local Administration stated in a statement on Tuesday that the field efforts of municipalities, councils, and directorates all aim to raise around 700,000 flags, in various sizes and dimensions, to enhance the general aesthetic appearance of main streets, public squares, and arenas, and to highlight the status of the Jordanian flag and its ingrained value in the consciousness of the nation's people.
The activities also include raising the flag above municipal buildings and public institutions to present it in the best way befitting this national occasion.
The ministry, in cooperation with municipal pages on social media and various national institutions, launched a slogan: "Our flag high," in pride of the Jordanian flag and to reaffirm the popular rallying around the wise Hashemite leadership.
The municipalities and Joint Service Councils launched community initiatives that included distributing flags to schools and vehicles, hand-held flags, and contributing to the decoration of national institutions, reinforcing national values and deepening the cohesion with the local community on this beloved occasion.
