Iranian Agency Sanctioned Ships Break US Maritime Embargo in the Strait of Hormuz

Khaberni - Iranian media sources reported that three oil tankers linked to Iran entered the Gulf via the Strait of Hormuz on the first day after Washington announced the imposition of a blockade targeting Iranian ports and the strait from the Arabian Sea side.

The Iranian agency "Press TV" reported today, Tuesday, that "shipping data indicate that three tankers linked to Iran entered the Gulf through the Strait of Hormuz, today, Tuesday, which is the first day of an American attempt to impose a blockade targeting ships that stop in Iranian ports.".

The agency added, "According to the data of the British company 'London Stock Exchange Group,' the medium-range oil tanker flying the Panamanian flag 'PEACE GULF' is headed to the Hamriyah port in the United Arab Emirates. 'Kepler' company data shows that the vessel is typically involved in the transportation of Iranian naphtha, a petrochemical raw material, to non-Iranian ports in West Asia, in preparation for its subsequent transfer to Asia."

The agency noted that "the oil tanker 'Molikeshan' of the 'Handy Size' class is heading towards Iraq to load fuel oil on April 16, according to 'Kepler' data. It was previously known as 'MKA' and had previously transported Russian and Iranian oil."

It is expected that the other sanctioned tanker 'Rich Stari' will be the first ship to leave the Gulf through the Strait of Hormuz since the alleged blockade came into force, according to the data from both companies.
