Khaberni - The Greater Amman Municipality, based on a decision by the Council of Ministers, announced a package of discounts and exemptions on taxes and fees due on properties and lands within the boundaries of the municipalities and Greater Amman Municipality, during a specific period ending on 6/30/2026.
According to the decision, a 20% discount was granted on the building and land tax (roofed) and knowledge tax, as well as sewage fees for previous years and the year 2025, provided that the amounts due for those years are paid before the end of office hours on 6/30/2026.
The decision also included an exemption for taxpayers from penalties on the building and land tax (roofed) and knowledge tax for all previous years at a rate of 100%, in addition to an exemption from the 2025 penalty, provided that the full dues are paid before the same date.
The decision also included a 25% discount on verification fees and compensations if paid before the end of office hours on 6/30/2026, along with a similar discount of 25% for those requesting to purchase refuse and lands when paying within the specified deadline.
The decision also stipulated a 25% exemption for tenants of properties and buildings owned by the municipalities and Greater Amman Municipality from the due rent until 12/31/2025, provided they are paid in full before the end of office hours on 6/30/2026.
