Khaberni - His Majesty King Abdullah II, during a meeting he chaired on Monday, followed the progress of the government's work in implementing the public sector modernization roadmap, in the presence of His Highness Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II.
His Majesty emphasized, during his meeting at Al Husseiniya Palace with Prime Minister Jafar Hassan and several concerned officials, the importance of utilizing technology to develop public sector institutions and enhance their performance to serve citizens and investors.
His Majesty reviewed the key achievements of the first phase (2022-2025) of the executive program, which included the expansion of digitizing government services and the opening of 13 comprehensive government service centers in several provinces.
His Majesty listened to a briefing about the government's plan to launch the Jordanian Academy of Government Management, which will serve as a reference entity for developing the capabilities of the public sector instead of the Institute of Public Administration.
In this context, His Majesty called for the continuation of developing the appointment mechanisms in the government sector, pointing to the importance of creating an attractive environment for talents and skills, within a framework based on transparency, equity, and career development linked to performance.
His Majesty listened to a briefing presented by the State Minister for Public Sector Development, Engineer Badriya Al Balbeisi, which indicated that the executive program for the second phase (2026-2029) focuses on expanding the scope of implementation to include municipalities, and increasing reliance on modern technologies to enhance the efficiency of public sector performance, spending efficiency, and the quality of services provided to citizens.
The meeting was attended by the Director of His Majesty's Office, Engineer Alaa Batayneh, and the Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Engineer Sami Samirat.
