Khaberni - The focus is on the future of the Egyptian star Ramadan Sobhi, the winger of the Egyptian club Pyramids, amid new developments that may bring closer the date of his return to the fields after a long-absent doping crisis.
The lawyer Hani Zahran revealed positive developments in the case, confirming that the Swiss Federal Court preliminarily accepted the appeal, which is considered an important legal step reflecting the seriousness of the file and its non-rejection in its initial stages.
Zahran explained that the court granted both the World Anti-Doping Agency and the International Court of Arbitration for Sport a deadline until May 4th to submit an official response to the challenge, with the possibility of extending the period for an additional 20 days, which may delay the final decision until May 24th.
After receiving the responses, the case will enter its final stage through the exchange of legal memoranda, before being reserved for judgment.
According to Zahran, the fate of the player depends on the final decision of the court: if the appeal is accepted (the judgment of the International Court of Arbitration for Sport will be canceled, allowing Ramadan Sobhi to return immediately to the matches).
However, the case will not end, as it will be sent back to "CAS" for reconsideration, a process that could take about a year, but the player will be available to participate normally during that time.
In the case of rejection of the appeal (the suspension penalty of four years will be confirmed, meaning his continued absence from the fields).
Zahran expects that the picture will be clarified definitively during the period between May and June of the coming months, which is the stage that will definitively determine the fate of the player's return.
On a personal level, Ramadan Sobhi is experiencing a sense of optimism following these developments, as he continues his serious training to maintain his fitness, in preparation for the potential immediate return upon the final decision.
