Arteta sends a tough message to the Gunners stars before the Lisbon clash

Khaberni -  Arsenal's Spanish manager, Mikel Arteta, confirmed that his team should not use fatigue as an excuse after their defeat to Bournemouth in the league, demanding his players enjoy this stage of the season.

The British news agency "PA Media" reported that Arsenal missed the opportunity to lead Manchester City by 12 points at the top of the table, after losing to Bournemouth 1-2 at the "Emirates" stadium in London.

This defeat was the third consecutive one for Arteta's team in the domestic competitions, following the defeat in the League Cup final against Manchester City and being knocked out of the FA Cup by Southampton.

Arsenal is now seeking recovery through the Champions League and will play the second leg of the quarter-finals against Sporting Lisbon in London next Wednesday.

However, when Arteta was asked about the fatigue factor in his team, he said: "I do not care about those excuses, as we have played many games every three days, and we must continue to do so."

He added: "This is our current situation, and we must accept it and take advantage of the opportunities."

Arteta continued: "This is something that has not been seen from the team, this level of enjoyment and fight that allows you to turn the result in your favor when things are tough."

He explained: "We will face many situations from now until June, and we have to adapt to that if we want to achieve what we aspire to."
