Heba ElSisi reveals why she refused to wear a wig after being diagnosed with cancer

Khaberni - Egyptian actress Heba El-Sisi revealed why she refused to wear a wig after her hair fell out due to chemotherapy.

Heba El-Sisi said that her decision was to highlight the experiences of cancer patients and to support women who are going through the same stage.

She added during her appearance on the program "Ladies' Gathering": "A week after the first chemotherapy session, large clumps of my hair started falling out suddenly. I saw all my hair dissolving in the water, and I felt a complete nervous breakdown... I noticed the surprised looks from women and their feelings of astonishment, which made me feel uncomfortable, but I decided to face the situation instead of hiding."

Refusing the wig is a message of strength.
Heba El-Sisi pointed out that her refusal to wear the wig was not just a personal decision, but a desire to be an inspiration and support for cancer patients: "I refused the wig because I felt their suffering. I wanted to be a face for them, to show them that there is no need to be ashamed of our appearance at this stage. Beauty is not always there, but peace of mind and strength of spirit are more important."

She continued, "I am proud of where I am now, and I want people to understand the difficulty of the cancer experience and its psychological effects. The experience taught me a lot about the pain and depression that patients go through."

Returning to work and the screen
Heba also talked about her return to hosting her television program after accepting her health condition: "When I accepted the reality of my illness and decided to continue my normal life, I was able to return to filming the program. Yet, I still fear being in public places because of other people's looks."

Accusation of seeking fame
She also responded to rumors that claimed she was using her illness to attract attention: "Some claimed that my appearance without a wig was to trend.. I am indeed ill and undergoing chemotherapy. My decision not to wear a wig was to be a role model and support for others, to show that patients do not need to feel ashamed of themselves."

Heba concluded her talk by thanking everyone who supported her during her illness: "Your prayers and messages reached me and were real support. I thank everyone who stood by me, whether by call, messages, or visits, you have made a big difference. Now I return with new energy, and I say to everyone going through a difficult experience: You are stronger than you think, and God will give you strength and support."

Heba El-Sisi had announced her cancer diagnosis on her program "Miss Egypt" on the "Al-Shams" channel, confirming that she had undergone a major surgery and successfully passed the critical period, then returned to share her personal experience with her audience with courage and honesty.
