Khaberni - An elderly Palestinian woman was martyred early Tuesday morning after suffering a heart attack during an Israeli occupation forces' raid on her home in the town of Jayyous east of Qalqilya city in the northern West Bank.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society stated in a report that the elderly woman, Sabriya Amin Shamasneh (68 years old), suffered a sudden heart attack during the raid on her home, and was transferred to the Dr. Darwish Nazzal government hospital in Qalqilya city, where her martyrdom was later announced.
In related news, Palestinian sources reported that Hajjah Sabriya was severely beaten by the occupation forces.
The occupation forces raided the town around 2:00 AM from its eastern entrance and stormed a number of homes, causing panic among the residents. The elderly woman was shocked to find soldiers at her door, suffering from extreme shock and fear due to the yelling, before collapsing and suffering a heart attack that claimed her life.
In related developments, several Palestinians were injured this morning due to inhalation of tear gas launched by the Israeli occupation forces during their raid on Al-Fawar Camp, south of Hebron city in the southern West Bank.
The association reported that the occupation forces raided the camp and fired sound bombs and tear gas at the citizens and their homes, causing several of them to suffer from suffocation. Furthermore, the Israeli occupation forces conducted a wave of arrests in the early hours across the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem, involving confrontations with the locals and arrests that affected dozens of Palestinians, under the claim that they were wanted.
The raiding forces stormed homes and tampered with their contents, subjecting the inhabitants to field interrogations after detaining them for hours and subjected some of them to mistreatment, as the campaign affected various areas including Nablus, Qalqilya, Tulkarm, Bethlehem, and Jerusalem.
