Tourism Adopting Visitor Entry Date to Calculate Unified Ticket Validity Enhances Sector Competitiveness

Khaberni - The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities said that the amended instructions for the unified ticket for the year 2026 included amending Article (13), so that the validity period of the unified ticket becomes three months starting from the date of the visitor's entry into the kingdom's territory, instead of the date of issue as was previously practiced, with the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities having the authority to extend this period in special and justified cases.
According to a statement by the Ministry today, Monday, this amendment comes within the framework of the Ministry's ongoing efforts to support the tourism sector and enhance its competitiveness, in line with its directions aimed at activating tourism movement and sustaining the sector's contribution to supporting the national economy, where it is expected that the decision will have a tangible positive impact on the visitor's experience.
The Ministry confirmed that this amendment is a quality step that will enable visitors to optimally benefit from the unified ticket during their actual stay within the kingdom, allowing them to visit the largest possible number of tourist and archaeological sites with flexibility, and without being restricted by the issuance date.
It also indicated that this measure reflects the Ministry's commitment to developing the regulations governing the tourism sector to keep pace with the best international practices, and contribute to stimulating demand for the Jordanian tourism product, and enhancing the sustainability of the economic activity associated with it.
