Khaberni - Former Prime Minister Dr. Omar Al-Razzaz confirmed the importance of listening to the experiences and ambitions of youth, and working on framing them within the context of public work, stressing that the lack of effective communication prevents reaching goals, while dialogue forms a fundamental means to achieve a shared understanding of challenges, solutions, alternatives, and scenarios.
This came during the dialogues of "Middle East" under the title: "Public work... Challenges and responsibility towards the role of youth in shaping the future and serving the nation", which was held in the presence of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees Dr. Ya`qub Nasir Al-Din, University President Professor Dr. Salam Al-Mahadin, several college deans, faculty and administrative staff, and students.
During the dialogue, which was moderated by media expert Professor Dr. Hani Al-Badri, Al-Razzaz pointed out that the world is experiencing a state of "uncertainty", and that claiming to possess a clear vision for the course of events in the region and the world is unrealistic, in light of rapid transformations, pointing out that the main challenge lies in how to protect Jordan from global unrest and maintain its stability.
He highlighted that the crises the world is facing today are not new, but are manifested in the context of the disintegration of international norms and the diminishing effectiveness of laws regulating relations between states, placing the world in a state of ambiguity, stressing the steadfastness of the Jordanian position and the clarity of its red lines.
Al-Razzaz noted that the future of youth is directly linked to employment opportunities, considering this issue as the biggest challenge for Jordan, especially with limited resources and increasing competencies, which necessitates adopting economic policies capable of generating sustainable opportunities.
He discussed the impact of social media platforms and their reflections on the social fabric and the youth's perception of themselves, emphasizing the need to rebuild the educational process to suit the requirements of the stage.
In closing his dialogue with university students, Al-Razzaz called on the youth to actively perform their roles and positively press towards national issues, contributing to building a more stable future capable of facing challenges.
