Khaberni - The chairperson and members of the administrative and general bodies of the Labor Party – Ma'an Governorate and its steppes branch, announced their collective resignation from the party, after a period described as a long one of patience and repeated attempts to communicate with the party management to no avail.
The resignees explained that this step came as a result of their inability to fulfill their party duties and serve the residents of the governorate as required, in the absence of communication and coordination with the party leadership.
The statement pointed to a number of reasons that led them to decide to resign, the most prominent being the lack of communication from the party's General Secretary Mr. Mo'taz Abu Rumman or any of the management representatives with the administrative body in the Ma'an branch, despite their repeated attempts.
They also pointed to the exclusion of the branch's members from conferences and seminars organized by the party, unlike other branches.
They added that the party leadership did not respond to calls and messages from the chairperson and members of the branch, along with delays in paying the rent for the branch premises for long periods, which caused cut-offs in electricity and water supply, despite continuous follow-ups to address these issues.
The resignees confirmed that their decision came after exhausting all attempts at communication and cooperation, out of respect for themselves and the residents of Ma'an Governorate and its steppes whom they represent, and whom they promised to live up to their expectations.
At the end of their statement, they requested the deletion of their names from the party records, to allow them the opportunity to join another party and work through it, in line with the royal directives to enhance party work.
The statement concluded with a prayer that God will protect Jordan, its leadership, and its people.
