Khaberni - The Public Security Directorate warns of the expected weather conditions, as the kingdom is affected today, Tuesday, by a relatively cold and humid air mass with showers of rain in the north and center of the kingdom. These showers may be heavy for short periods and occasionally accompanied by thunder, later extending to parts of the eastern and southwestern regions, according to meteorological bulletins issued by the relevant authorities.
The Directorate stresses the need to stay away from valleys, watercourses, low-lying areas, and not to risk crossing roads submerged in water, regardless of how low the water level seems, due to the real danger posed, emphasizing the importance of immediately moving to higher and safer places in case of water flooding.
It also warns against approaching gatherings caused by rainwater, due to the risks they may carry, emphasizing the need to monitor children and not leave them near watercourses or water bodies.
The Directorate urges drivers to exercise the utmost caution while driving due to slipperiness on roads experiencing rainfall and reduced horizontal visibility due to fog over mountainous elevations and dust in desert areas, and to follow the instructions issued by the relevant authorities promptly, in order to ensure their safety and the safety of others.
The Public Security Directorate confirms its full readiness to deal with various reports and emergencies, calling on citizens to contact the emergency number (911) when needed.
