Khaberni - A Syrian security source denied the circulating claims about launching rockets from Syrian territory towards the occupied Syrian Golan earlier this evening, Friday.
The statement issued by the Directorate of Information of Quneitra Province, which borders Israel, said: "The directorate categorically denies the information circulating through media and social media platforms about launching rockets from Syrian territory towards the occupied Golan".
It added: "The directorate confirms that these allegations are baseless and have not been issued by any official source or reliable authority".
The statement continued: "The directorate clarifies that the dissemination of such news falls within the framework of misleading information that lacks accuracy".
The Information Directorate in Quneitra stated: "In this context, the directorate calls on various media outlets to adhere to professional standards in verifying information before publishing it and to rely exclusively on official sources to avoid contributing to the spread of rumors or causing confusion".
The Quneitra Information Directorate also emphasized the professional and ethical responsibility incumbent on media institutions to accurately and objectively report events, thereby preserving the stability of the community and limiting the circulation of false news.
Earlier, Israeli territories witnessed alerts about rocket launches from Lebanon and Iran, and alarm sirens sounded in the occupied Syrian Golan area without detecting any launch operation from Syrian territory towards Israel.
