Khaberni - "New York Times" reported the crash of a second American Air Force fighter jet in the Gulf region, on Friday, near the Strait of Hormuz, noting the safe rescue of the sole pilot.
The newspaper, citing U.S. officials who spoke on condition of anonymity due to operational reasons, said that the aircraft was an A-10 "Warthog", which crashed near the Strait of Hormuz around the same time a U.S. Air Force F-15E was shot down over Iran.
The officials did not provide many details about the A-10 crash, including how it happened and the exact location of the incident.
