Khaberni - The forecasts issued by the Meteorological Department indicate a slight temperature increase on Wednesday, with increasing amounts of clouds at medium and high altitudes. God willing, light rain showers are expected in some areas, with increased chances during the evening and night hours to cover various regions of the kingdom. These showers may sometimes be heavy and brief in limited parts of the western kingdom, accompanied by thunder. The winds will be moderate southeast, becoming active at intervals, stirring up dust especially in desert areas.
During the evening and night hours, there is a warning of the possibility of flash floods in valleys and low-lying areas including the Dead Sea area, in addition to reduced horizontal visibility due to dust, and the risk of slipping on roads experiencing rainfall.
On Thursday, the weather will be partly to mostly cloudy and rainy at times, especially in the western parts of the kingdom, and may sometimes be accompanied by thunder, with decreasing rain chances after the afternoon hours. The winds will be moderate to brisk southwest with strong gusts at times, stirring dust, especially in desert areas, while the night will have cold weather with a chance of light rain in parts of the southwest of the kingdom.
On Friday, a slight decrease in temperatures occurs, and the weather will be partly to mostly cloudy and relatively cool in most areas, with a chance of light rain in the morning hours in limited parts of the southwest of the kingdom, while the weather will be cold during the night.
The temperature will continue to drop on Saturday, creating relatively cool weather in most areas, and relatively warm in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, with generally stable conditions and cold during night hours.
The Meteorological Department alerts to reduced horizontal visibility due to dust on Wednesday and Thursday, and also due to fog in the early morning hours above the high mountain elevations and parts of the desert and plains on Thursday and Friday, calling for caution and vigilance.
