Khaberni - The Private School Owners Association confirmed that the Unified Contract's implementation in private schools has ended, based on a judicial decision issued by the Amman Court of First Instance on Rights.
In an official letter addressed to the administrations of private schools, the association clarified that the judicial ruling became final, deciding that the private school owners are not a party in the lawsuit related to the Unified Contract, thus they are not bound by it.
The association pointed out that this decision means private schools are not obliged to adhere to collective labor contracts or the Unified Contract, emphasizing that any refusal to implement the decision or any contravention could be considered a legal violation under the provisions of the Jordanian Penal Code.
The association urged schools not to sign electronic contracts related to the Unified Contract, and to suffice with signing individual paper contracts for each school, in accordance with the provisions of the Jordanian Labor Law.
At the same time, the association emphasized the necessity of respecting the rights of teachers and workers, in accordance with the laws, regulations, and work ethics.
It should be noted that copies of the letter were sent to several official entities, including the Jordanian Ministry of Education and the Jordanian Ministry of Labor, for review and necessary action.
