Khaberni - The Cabinet decided in its session held on Sunday, chaired by Prime Minister Jafar Hassan, to approve the government bearing the interest due on empowering facilities in the tourism sector to obtain financial facilities to cover operational expenses, especially the salaries of its employees. This was through approving the Jordanian Central Bank to address commercial banks to provide these facilities and assist in scheduling and installment of financial dues until 12/31/2026.
This decision comes to support tourist facilities and enable them to face the repercussions of the regional crisis which significantly impacted the tourism sector. The goal is to sustain the sector's operation, preserve employment opportunities within it, enable it to face financial and operational challenges, and maintain investments in the sector.
The government has taken new measures to deal with the regional crisis and ensure the sustainability and enhancement of stock.
