Khaberni - His Majesty King Abdullah II received, today, Sunday, the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, where developments in the region were discussed.
His Majesty reiterated his condemnation of the ongoing Iranian aggressions against the Kingdom and several Arab countries, emphasizing the need to respect the sovereignty of states and intensify international efforts to achieve a comprehensive and sustainable calming through diplomatic channels.
His Majesty highlighted the dangers of prolonging the conflict and the exacerbation of economic burdens on the region and the world.
The meeting also touched upon Jordanian-Ukrainian relations and ways to enhance them.
In turn, the Ukrainian President condemned the attacks on Jordan and the countries of the region, underscoring the necessity of restoring stability in the Middle East.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi, Chief of the Joint Staff Major General Yousef Ahmad Al-Huneiti, Director of His Majesty's Office, Engineer Alaa Batayneh, and the accompanying delegation of the Ukrainian President.
