Khaberni - The name Shalimar Sharbatly, wife of the Egyptian director Khaled Youssef, has come to the fore again, after she announced the filing of an official complaint against a famous media personality and her husband, following an incident of a verbal altercation that occurred during their return trip from Milan to Cairo.
The artist revealed in a post on her Instagram account yesterday, Friday, the behind-the-scenes of the incident, explaining that she met the media personality during her return trip to Cairo from the Italian city of Milan.
She also mentioned that the media personality was accompanied by her husband and several relatives, adding that she introduced herself as holding a PhD degree, which Sharbatly described as "an incorrect claim".
A fight.. "and offensive language"
Sharbatly confirmed that the other party tried to verbally provoke her, using phrases she described as "offensive", clarifying that she almost responded to them, but her husband intervened to prevent the escalation of the situation, after he noticed an intention to provoke a fight.
The artist further clarified that the events escalated to the media personality's husband insulting her, including phrases "that are indecent and punishable by law," according to her claim.
Furthermore, Shalimar Sharbatly announced that she had filed an official report against the media personality and her husband, affirming her confidence in the Egyptian judiciary to reclaim her rights.
Previous complaints.. and a jewelry theft case
It is worth mentioning that the artist Shalimar Sharbatly had filed a complaint in August 2025 accusing a famous artist and a lawyer of fraud and deception.
Meanwhile, the case of the theft of the jewelry of the wife of the Egyptian director Khaled Youssef, was the talk of social media last year, especially since the accused of stealing it was the famous director Omar Zahran, who was sentenced to prison but was later released after serving half of his one-year sentence with labor.
Khaled Youssef's wife also filed an official complaint against the media personality Basma Wahba in the jewelry case, where she accused her of recording a call and leaking it on social media, which is the same accusation Wahba directed at Sharbatly.
