Khaberni - The United States and Israel launched a series of airstrikes on Iran, while the Mehr Iranian news agency reported that an attack targeted a university in the capital Tehran.
Al Jazeera's correspondent in Tehran said that the Israeli military targeted civilian and vital infrastructure and nuclear and energy facilities last Friday.
He pointed out that Israel targeted steel factories and two power production facilities in Isfahan, the Arak nuclear reactor, and a factory for manufacturing "yellowcake" in the middle of the country, and a projectile fell at the Bushehr nuclear station.
In this context, the Mehr agency reported that an attack targeted the "Science and Industry" university in Tehran, early Friday, and Iranian accounts on social media published a video clip they said documented the destruction caused by the targeting near the university.
Conversely, the Israeli military stated in a brief statement that its forces are "currently striking targets belonging to the terrorist Iranian regime in Tehran".
For his part, President Donald Trump, in a recorded speech on Friday evening, said, "We delivered a major blow to Iran today and it was a good day militarily". He added, "We are now destroying Iran's capabilities and its missile stockpile and its defensive industrial base".
In response to targeting the infrastructure, the commander of the Aerospace Force in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Majid Mousavi, threatened a new escalation in the confrontation, confirming that "the equation this time will not be an eye for an eye", indicating a broader and harsher response than before.
Mousavi said, in a post on the X platform, that "Iran's adversaries have once again started playing with fire by targeting infrastructure", confirming that the upcoming Iranian response will be different. He urged employees in industrial companies linked to the United States and Israel to immediately leave their workplaces "to save their lives".
