Jordan has large quantities of batteries and chargers

Khaberni - The representative of the electrical and electronics sector in the Jordan Chamber of Commerce, Hatem Al-Zu'bi, said on Thursday that there had been a recent increase in the demand for batteries and solar panels due to fears of supply or power interruptions in light of the regional conditions and the American-Israeli war on Iran.

He added in his remarks on the Al-Mamlaka channel that batteries, lighting units, and chargers are available in large quantities, urging not to rush to buy them.

Al-Zu'bi explained that the demand is still within normal levels, despite the recorded increase, emphasizing the availability of all sector necessities.

Al-Zu'bi emphasized that the supply chains are operating normally and reaching the Aqaba port on time, and there is no shortage in the imported electrical or energy supplies.

He mentioned that the prices of imported electrical goods have risen in the country of origin by 10%, which has reflected on the Jordanian market.

Regarding the installation of solar power systems, Al-Zu'bi warned against resorting to unlicensed entities, emphasizing the importance of dealing with accredited and officially registered companies, and obtaining the necessary approvals from the competent authorities, primarily the Energy Authority.

He also alerted to misleading advertisements spread through social media, which could expose citizens to legal risks and financial penalties, urging compliance with official procedures to avoid any legal consequences.
