Khaberni - The Petra Region Authority for Development and Tourism announced the reopening to visitors at the Petra Archaeological Reserve on Friday, March 27, 2026, starting at 12 PM.
The Commissioner of Archaeological and Tourism Affairs, Engineer Yazan Mahadin, stated that the decision coincides with the ongoing presence of emergency teams on the field to monitor the situation continuously, in coordination with relevant entities, noting that visits will be limited to the main trail only.
Mahadin called on visitors to adhere to the instructions and guidelines within the archaeological site and to follow the authority's official channels for updates.
