Khaberni - The head of the committee overseeing the elections of the Jordanian Artists Syndicate, Hussein Al-Khatib, announced the victory of Hani Al-Jarrah as the head (Dean) for a new electoral term that will last for two years.
Al-Jarrah received 209 votes, compared to 110 votes for his competitor Mohammad Al-Damour.
Currently, the votes for the syndicate council membership candidates are being counted.
27 candidates are running for council membership representing 5 professions: acting, directing, playing music and singing, composing and music writing, and the technical arts profession.
The number of general body members who paid their subscriptions was 393 members, of whom 324 participated in the elections that started this morning, Friday.
