The White House The situation around negotiations with Iran is unstable

Khaberni - White House spokesperson, Caroline Levitt, described on Tuesday the situation regarding negotiations with Iran concerning conflict resolution as unstable. Levitt told ABC channel: "These are sensitive diplomatic negotiations, and the United States will not release statements via social media; this situation is unstable, and assumptions about the negotiations can't be considered final until announced officially by the White House."

The channel requested a comment from the U.S. Department of State on the possibility of special presidential envoy Steven Whitkoff, the president's son-in-law Jared Kushner, and Vice President J.D. Vance visiting Pakistan to conduct negotiations with the Iranian side in Islamabad, and this request was directed to the White House.

Meanwhile, a Pakistani official told the "ABS" channel that there are "several proposals" regarding potential negotiations, including a face-to-face meeting in Islamabad, indicating that the U.S.-Iran communications will most likely occur within five days according to a post by President Donald Trump on the "Truth Social" platform, but the official confirmed that no final decision has been made on this matter.

Donald Trump wrote on the "Truth Social" platform on March 23rd that Washington and Tehran had "good and very productive negotiations over the past two days" concerning a ceasefire. According to him, consultations are continuing "throughout the week," and Trump has instructed the U.S. Department of Defense "Pentagon" to delay strikes on Iranian energy infrastructure for five days.

The U.S. President told reporters that both the United States and Iran are eager to reach an agreement, and that the parties have "key points of agreement."

In turn, the official spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Ismail Baghaei, told "IRNA" news agency that Tehran had not conducted any negotiations with the United States, but it had clarified its position to the intermediaries.

While the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, denied any negotiations with the United States, the Iranian Foreign Ministry announced that it received "messages from friendly countries" regarding an American request for talks.

Iranian cities, especially the capital, Tehran, have been subjected to near-daily bombing since the beginning of the joint American-Israeli attack against Iran on February 28th, which resulted in the deaths of senior officials including the Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

In response, Iran launched missile attacks and drone strikes on Israel, as well as targeting American interests in the Gulf.
