Khaberni - The Israeli newspaper "Yedioth Ahronoth" reported on Tuesday that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi informed the American envoy Steve Witkoff secretly of the Iranian leader, Mojtaba Khamenei’s approval to negotiate.

After giving Iran a 48-hour ultimatum to open the Strait of Hormuz, US President Donald Trump announced unexpectedly on Monday that he had directed a delay of any military strikes against Iranian power stations for 5 days.
Trump also added in a post on his platform "Truth Social" that America and Iran had very good and fruitful talks over the past two days.
He wrote, saying: "I am pleased to inform you that the United States and Iran have had very good and fruitful discussions over the past two days on reaching a full and comprehensive resolution to hostilities in the Middle East. Based on the content of these in-depth, detailed, and constructive discussions, which will continue throughout this week, I have instructed my Department of War to postpone all military strikes against Iranian power stations and their energy infrastructure for five days".
This and the freeze on strikes are tied to the success of ongoing meetings and discussions between the two countries.
Later, Trump clarified in remarks to "Fox News" that an agreement with the Iranian side might be reached within 5 days or less. He added that "Iran is very much eager to strike a deal, and it could happen within five days or less".
He then added briefly afterward, that "things are going very well" concerning Iran, according to "Agence France-Presse".
