Khaberni - Danny Welbeck scored a goal in each half to lead Brighton to a 2-1 victory over Liverpool in the Premier League at the Amex Stadium on Saturday.
Liverpool, whose hopes of qualifying for the Champions League took a hit, remained in fifth place with 49 points from 31 games, while Brighton climbed four places to rank eighth with 43 points, thus bolstering their hopes for participation in European competitions next season.
The match was delayed by 15 minutes due to traffic congestion that hindered Liverpool fans' arrival, and the hosts were the better side initially, with Welbeck opening the scoring with a header at the 14th minute.
Milos Kerkez equalized for his team, Liverpool, after half an hour, but Welbeck sealed the win with the second goal at the 56th minute.
