Khaberni - The Argentine national team will face an Arab team during the upcoming international break in Argentina.
The Argentine Football Association has officially announced that Argentina will play a friendly match against Mauritania on March 27 at the "La Bombonera" stadium, home of Boca Juniors.
The match comes after the cancellation of the "Finalissima" that was scheduled against Spain in Qatar, due to the current situation in the Middle East.
Another friendly that was to be played between Argentina and Guatemala has also been canceled, due to FIFA regulations that require teams to play matches within the same continent during the international break.
This comes at a time when the Guatemala team will be playing against Algeria in Italy.
Argentina quickly moved to find an alternative, and it was agreed to face the Mauritania team on the same date that was designated for the Finalissima.
Meanwhile, the Argentine Football Association is currently working on securing a second friendly match on March 31, which might also be held at the Boca Juniors stadium, as part of preparations for the 2026 World Cup.
It is worth noting that the Argentina team is the title holder of the last edition of the World Cup, having crowned champion in the Qatar 2022 World Cup against France in the final match.
