Ancelotti Excludes Neymar from Samba List and Bets on Endrick

Khaberni -  Italian Carlo Ancelotti, coach of the Brazil national football team, announced the "Selecao" roster that will play two friendly matches against the national teams of France and Croatia as part of the preparation for the upcoming international commitments, with the 2026 World Cup at the forefront.

The list saw several notable surprises, the most prominent of which is the continued absence of star Neymar Junior from the squad of the five-time world champions, while young striker Endrick Felipe returns to the squad after an absence of about a full year since his last appearance against the Argentina national football team in March 2025.

The absence of the "fragile" Neymar comes at a crucial time in the Brazilian team’s preparations, opening the door for emerging names in the forward line, led by Endrick, who is seen as one of the most prominent rising talents in Brazilian football and is expected to lead the team's attack in the future.

The Brazilian team is expected to face two strong matches during the international break, meeting France on March 26, before facing Croatia on April 1, in two important tests for the technical staff to assess the readiness of the players before the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

The called-up list for the Brazil national team for the March training camp is as follows:

Goalkeepers: Alisson, Pinto, Ederson.

Defenders: Alex Sandro, Bremer, Danilo, Douglas Santos, Gabriel Magalhaes, Ibanez, Leo Pereira, Marquinhos, and Wesley.

Midfielders: Andre Santos, Casemiro, Danilo, Fabinho, Gabriel Sara.

Strikers: Endrick, Gabriel Martinelli, Igor Tiago, Luiz Henrique, Matheus Cunha, Joao Pedro, Raphinha, Ryan, Vinicius Junior.
