A Horror Night for Nael El Ainawi in Rome After an Armed Robbery at His Home

Khaberni  - Moroccan Nael El Ainawi, a midfielder for Roma, was subjected to an armed robbery by a gang at his home in the Italian capital.

The Italian newspaper La Gazzetta Dello Sport reported that El Ainawi is "shocked" after last night's "robbery and attempted kidnapping at his home in the Castel Fusano area", which is kilometers away from Trigoria where the club's training center is located, in a neighborhood that is home to many Roma players and "has witnessed many robbery operations in recent years".

The newspaper added, "Around three o'clock in the morning, a gang of six men dressed in black, armed with pistols and masked, broke into the house after ripping off a net from a living room window."

It continued: "El Ainawi was the first to wake up, and was forced to kneel down. Then the thieves locked the player, his mother, his partner, his brother, and his girlfriend in a room. They stole jewelry worth about 10,000 euros, a Rolex watch, and luxury handbags."

The newspaper mentioned that the police inspected the scene and are investigating, having previously dealt with "many robbery operations" that targeted players from Roma and Lazio in recent months.

El Ainawi immediately informed his club of the incident, "and is still scared, as the thieves were armed and threatened his family", according to the newspaper. It also noted that he will be absent from today's Roma training, in preparation for the match against Bologna on Thursday.
