Khaberni - Since his arrival at the helm of the technical leadership of Real Madrid, the young Spanish coach Álvaro Arbeloa has given a number of "La Castia" players the opportunity to participate with the first team.
The match between Real Madrid and Manchester City saw Arbeloa take a big gamble by relying on young players who lacked significant experience in the European Champions League.
Nevertheless, the gamble paid off and "Los Merengues" won by three goals against "Sky Blue" in the first leg of the last 16 of the European competition, thanks to a hat-trick by Federico Valverde.
The match against Elche in the Spanish league was also a pivotal moment for the academy's players, involving the participation of 5 players from "La Castia".
Real Madrid's academy, known as "La Fabrica", is one of the most prominent football talent factories in Europe, where the club's second team, known as "Castia", serves as a launching pad for many young players who attract the attention of major clubs around the world.
According to media reports, the "Alfredo Di Stefano" stadium has become an attraction center for scouts, with the emergence of young talents such as Nico Paz, Jacobo Ramon, Victor Munoz, Chema Andres, and Alex Jimenez, who are drawing attention with their impressive performances.
The newspaper "AS" stated that many giant clubs in Europe, including Manchester United, Bournemouth, Brighton, Juventus, Fiorentina, and Girona, regularly send scouts to Valdebebas to keep an eye on young players.
Sources close to the club indicate that about 40% of "Castia" players could be sold if the management decides to do so, due to significant interest from several European clubs.
Among the examples is the defender Diego Aguado who received an offer worth 6 million euros from Borussia Dortmund last season, as well as the player Fortia who attracted interest from clubs participating in the Champions League before renewing his contract with the club.
AS said: "Real Madrid's academy has turned into an important source of revenue, as the club has earned about 486 million euros over the past two decades from selling academy players".
Spanish player Álvaro Morata is the most expensive academy graduate following his move to Chelsea for 80 million euros, followed by Moroccan Achraf Hakimi and Marcos Llorente, each of whom transferred for about 40 million euros.
