Khaberni - Malik Khriesat, the Governor of Jerash, said on Sunday that 3 locations have been allocated in the Jerash Governorate to display the match between the Jordanian national team and the Algerian national team, namely the Southern Theater, the Oval Plaza, and the Northern Theater inside the archaeological city, following the directives of Prime Minister Jafar Hassan.
Khriesat added that the governorate has equipped the three sites with display screens to watch the match, noting that buses will be designated to transport citizens to the display site in the archaeological city.
He explained that choosing the archaeological city as one of the match display locations was also aimed at promoting tourism to the archaeological site in Jerash, allowing visitors and citizens to explore the historical landmarks rich in the governorate, alongside providing a suitable atmosphere for watching the match.
Khriesat added that coordination was made with the Jerash Police Directorate and the Traffic Department to facilitate the movement of citizens from and to the archaeological site, ensuring smooth traffic flow.
He mentioned that a committee was formed under the deputy governor with members from the municipalities, the Joint Services Council, and the security agencies, pointing out that the archaeological site is ready to receive the audience and follow the match.
On his part, Mohamed Bani Yassin, head of the Jerash Greater Municipality Committee, explained that the municipality is securing the organizational and logistical aspects through the concerned departments, and the promotion of the event will be conducted through the Media and Community Communication Department, calling for concerted efforts and rallying support for the Nashama in this global achievement.
Deputy Hamza Al-Hawamdeh mentioned that tourist guides inside the archaeological site will be used to promote the city and broadcast messages in various languages, supporting the national team and enhancing tourism in the governorate.
