Khaberni - His Majesty King Abdullah II and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, discussed during a telephone call on Friday the repercussions of the serious escalation in the region.
During the call, His Majesty expressed his condolences for the martyrdom of two members of the UAE Armed Forces while on duty, affirming Jordan's solidarity with the UAE in light of the Iranian attacks, which constitute a violation of the sovereignty of the UAE and countries of the region.
The leaders affirmed the importance of intensifying efforts to achieve de-escalation and to resort to diplomatic channels and dialogue to resolve conflicts.
His Majesty warned of the danger of using the current developments as a pretext to restrict the freedom of worshippers to access the Al-Aqsa Mosque/Blessed Al-Haram Al-Sharif and to impose a new reality in the West Bank and Gaza.
