Intercepting Iranian Missiles and Drones in Gulf States

Khaberni - The Iranian attacks on Gulf countries continued since the early hours of Thursday, with the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait announcing their defense against missile attacks and Iranian drones.

The Dubai Government Media Office confirmed that the relevant authorities handled an incident involving a drone falling onto a building in the Dubai Creek Harbor area, noting that evacuation operations were carried out for a building in the area.

The Dubai Government Media Office later confirmed that the agencies concerned fully controlled the incident, ensuring the safety of all residents, with no injuries recorded.

The UAE Ministry of Defense stated that the air defenses dealt with rocket attacks and drones coming from Iran.

The UAE Ministry of Defense announced that the air defenses managed on Wednesday to intercept 6 ballistic missiles, 7 cruise missiles, and 39 drones.

It also "handled 268 ballistic missiles and 1514 drones since the beginning of the Iranian assault," according to the UAE Ministry of Defense.

In Saudi Arabia, the Ministry of Defense confirmed the interception and destruction of over 18 drones in the Eastern Region, as well as the interception and destruction of 3 ballistic missiles headed towards Prince Sultan Air Base, and 3 drones headed to the Shaybah Field.

The Saudi Ministry of Defense also reported downing a hostile drone while it attempted to approach the Diplomatic Quarter in Riyadh.
In Kuwait, the army indicated that the air defenses countered missile attacks and hostile drones.

It confirmed that two individuals were injured following the dawn targeting of a residential building in the south of the country by a hostile drone, while the Kuwaiti News Agency announced that the fire teams controlled the fire that broke out in the building.

In Bahrain, the Ministry of Interior reported that the Iranian attacks targeted fuel tanks at a facility in Muharraq Governorate.

Meanwhile, the Qatar Ministry of Defense announced that on Wednesday, it intercepted 9 Iranian ballistic missiles and several drones, noting that a missile fell in an uninhabited area.

Condemnation of the Attacks

The UN Security Council adopted a resolution condemning the Iranian missile attacks on the Gulf states and Jordan, after Bahrain submitted the resolution on behalf of the Gulf Cooperation Council.

Qatar welcomed the Security Council's resolution, emphasizing the urgent need to stop the Iranian attacks immediately to avoid the risks of escalation in the region.

It also renewed the call for an immediate cessation of any escalatory actions and a return to the negotiation table.
