Targeting Kuwait International Airport with several drones No human injuries

Khaberni - The General Directorate of Civil Aviation in Kuwait announced that Kuwait International Airport was targeted on Thursday by several drones, which resulted in material damage only, with no human injuries recorded.

The official spokesman for the Directorate, Abdullah Al-Rajhi, stated that the incident was handled according to the emergency plan in place since the beginning of the crisis and in full coordination with the relevant authorities in the country.

Al-Rajhi affirmed the Directorate's ongoing commitment to taking all necessary measures to maintain the security and safety of civil aviation in the state of Kuwait.

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Electricity announced that 6 power transmission lines went out of service as a result of debris falling from intercepting the drones.

The Kuwaiti National Guard had previously announced that it had shot down 8 drones at the responsibility sites secured by its forces.

The Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported that the official spokesman for the Kuwaiti National Guard, Jadean Fadhil Jadean, confirmed that the National Guard forces are fully prepared and working in cooperation with the army, the police, and the general firefighting force.

Jadean stressed the importance of readiness and preparedness to deal with any potential threats and to firmly counter anything aiming to undermine the security of the country, ensuring the preservation of its sovereignty, security, and stability.
