Khaberni - The official spokesperson for the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy in Kuwait, Engineer Fatima Jawhar Hayat, announced that 6 overhead lines for transmitting electricity in several locations across the country went out of service, due to the fall of shrapnel resulting from the interception of several drones, causing a temporary fluctuation in the electrical network and a partial and limited power outage in various regions of the country.
She explained that the specialized emergency teams began their work in coordination with security authorities to assess the damages and carry out the necessary repairs, and the electrical current was restored to the affected areas at record speed, according to the highest safety standards and approved technical procedures.
Hayat confirmed that the electrical and water situation is still under control, and that the systems for producing electricity and desalinating and transferring water are operating with high efficiency, with continuous monitoring around the clock to ensure the stability and continuity of services without interruption.
She urged citizens and residents to ensure accuracy and to obtain information from official sources only, affirming the ministry's commitment to keeping the public informed of any developments promptly.
