Via Video Call Emergency Ministerial Meeting for the Arab League

Khaberni - The Council of the Arab League is holding a meeting at the foreign ministers level on Sunday, in an extraordinary session via video call, to discuss the blatant Iranian aggressions, at the request of Jordan and other Arab countries.

The ministerial meeting is being held at the request of Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, and Egypt, to discuss the Iranian aggressions against Arab countries in violation of international laws, conventions, and the principles of good neighborliness.

The Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, described the Iranian attacks against Arab countries as "serious."

Aboul Gheit stated that the attacks being carried out by Iran are fully condemnable, and are not only a blatant violation of international law and the UN Charter, but also an assault on the principles of good neighborliness.

Aboul Gheit warned that the Iranian attacks "create an unprecedented state of enmity between Iran and the neighboring Arab states, and cause a deep rift between Iran and these neighbors, which will leave a profound impact in the days to come."

He pointed out that "no one underestimates the calamities of war faced by Iran, but at the same time, there is no justification that could be deemed acceptable for Iran targeting neighboring Arab countries with the aim of dragging them into a war that is not their own, especially since a number of Arab countries have tirelessly worked to avoid this disastrous war."
