Khaberni - The Public Security Directorate has renewed its warning to citizens against approaching or congregating around any foreign objects or falling debris, due to the potential danger they pose to public safety.
The spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate, Amer Sartawi, stated on Saturday that the congregation that occurred yesterday in Irbid around falling objects hindered the security forces' operations while dealing with the incident.
Sartawi explained that the damages resulting from recent events were limited to minor material damage affecting some houses and vehicles, without recording significant damages.
He clarified that the Public Security Directorate is monitoring media and digital content on various platforms to detect rumors and misleading news and debunk them while handling them according to situation developments.
The Directorate emphasized the necessity for citizens and residents to adhere to advice and instructions issued by official entities, warning against approaching or tampering with any foreign object or debris that could be dangerous. It also called for immediately informing the security forces when spotting any suspicious object through the emergency number 911.
It reasserted the importance of relying on information issued by official sources and not to circulate rumors or misleading news.
