AlBadour Orders Relocation of 41 Unsuitable Rented Health Centers Names

Khaberni -  Minister of Health Dr. Ibrahim Al-Badour has ordered the relocation of 41 unsuitable rented health centers and the search for new locations that meet the needs for delivering proper medical services and are in accordance with the requirements mandated by the Ministry of Health, enhanced by staffing proportional to the operational scale.

This directive is based on the findings from visits carried out by technical monitoring teams formed by Minister Al-Badour three months ago to conduct unexpected field visits aimed at assessing the technical and medical realities, directly identifying faults and deficiencies, and compiling reports containing technical observations (such as staff and equipment numbers) and constructional details as well as necessary recommendations. This contributes to accelerating the addressing of challenges, overcoming administrative delays, and ensuring prompt decision-making to maintain the continuity of healthcare services with higher efficiency and quality without disruption.

The results of these field visits revealed that several existing health centers do not meet the requirements necessary for providing primary healthcare as per approved standards, whether in terms of construction aspects, technical requirements, or available space for medical services. This necessitates the move towards renting more suitable buildings for healthcare delivery to citizens, in addition to performing maintenance on ministry-owned center buildings.

In light of this, Minister Al-Badour has directed the health directorates' managers to identify the required specifications for alternate buildings, including appropriate spaces, qualified infrastructure, availability of safety requirements, and ease of access for visitors—ensuring a suitable health environment is provided for medical services and improving work conditions for healthcare staff.

Dr. Al-Badour affirmed that the field visits by the teams will continue in the upcoming period, which have so far inspected and visited 252 locations with plans to complete their visits to the remaining centers and raise reports to the minister's office for taking necessary actions to enhance service delivery in these centers, noting that this step is part of continuing efforts by the government and its head Dr. Jaafar Hassan to improve the service delivery environment in facilities.
