Khaberni - The General Secretary of the Jordanian National Commission for Women's Affairs, Engineer Maha Ali, sponsored a Ramadan Iftar organized by the Middle East University for the Women’s Network and Leadership in Higher Education.
The Iftar was attended by the President of the University, Professor Dr. Salam Al-Muhadin, along with national figures concerned with women's issues, faculty members, heads of women's studies centers, students, and PhD program graduates.
In her speech, the University President affirmed the commitment of the university to establish the principles of justice and equal opportunities, pointing out that women academics make up nearly 50% of the university, reflecting an institutional approach that supports the empowerment of women at various academic and administrative levels.
For her part, Engineer Maha Ali emphasized the importance of the role that universities and women's study centers play in supporting national efforts to empower women, stressing the need to address the challenges associated with academics reaching higher ranks through institutional policies that promote sustainability and justice in the career path.
The meeting included a review of the achievements of the projects of the Women's Network and Leadership in Higher Education, and a tribute to those who contributed to its success, underscoring a shared commitment to enhance female academic leadership and expand its impact in the higher education system.
