Khaberni - U.S. President Donald Trump announced in a statement the killing of the Iranian leader Ali Khamenei, noting that the operation targeted him along with a number of leaders who were with him.
Trump said that what happened represents "the greatest opportunity for the Iranian people to regain their country," in his words.
He added that Khamenei "and the leaders who were killed with him, could not do anything," confirming that U.S. intelligence and advanced tracking systems were able to locate him, and that he "could not escape" from it, according to his description.
As of now, there has been no official confirmation from the Iranian side regarding what the U.S. president announced.
