Khaberni - Today, Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah met with a group of young entrepreneurs and representatives of Jordanian companies during a visit to Jabal Al Luweibdeh in Amman, and she also visited the site of the "Azoti" initiative in downtown.
During the meeting which included a group of entrepreneurs alongside representatives from Endeavor Jordan and Beyond Capital, participants reviewed their experiences in the local and Arab job market, challenges, and opportunities for expansion available today.
Her Majesty also listened to an explanation about the role of Endeavor Jordan, which was established in 2009 as part of a global network aimed at stimulating sustainable economic growth and supporting job creation through accelerating the growth of high-impact entrepreneurial companies, as explained by its CEO, Tamer Al-Salah.
Her Majesty was briefed about the work of Beyond Capital, an investment platform established in 2017 as a partnership between Endeavor Jordan and Silicon Badia, focusing on investing in capital funds and start-ups that contribute to creating economic value for Jordan.
After the meeting, Her Majesty Queen Rania visited the restaurant of the "Azoti" initiative, where she met a number of volunteers and listened to an explanation presented by the founder of the initiative, Mahmoud Al-Nabulsi, about its establishment in 2015 as a Jordanian social initiative that redefines the concept of charitable work, seeks to enhance social cohesion, and establish a culture of shared responsibility.
The idea of "Azoti" is based on the principle of "the host and the guest" in the Jordanian community, bringing together those able to give and those in need. Since its inception, it has succeeded in distributing more than 400,000 meals, supported by a network consisting of more than 3700 volunteers. The model of the initiative has been applied in the Sultanate of Oman, with plans for expansion in other provinces and Arab countries.
