Amman Arab University Participates in Parliamentary Dialogue on Youth Empowerment and Enhancing Political Activity within Univer

Khaberni  - In line with Amman Arab University's commitment to supporting political modernization and youth empowerment, the university took part in an expanded parliamentary dialogue that discussed the ways to enhance political and party work inside Jordanian universities. This was done through the involvement of student Omar Al-Natour, President of the Rule of Law Club and head of student clubs at Amman Arab University, in a meeting of the Youth, Sports and Culture Committee in the Jordanian House of Representatives, attended by several members of the House of Representatives and representatives of academic and youth institutions.

This participation came under the direction and supervision of the Dean of Student Affairs as per the university’s plan aimed at politically empowering students, enhancing their conscious participation in public life, encouraging them to engage in organized party work, supporting their presence in volunteer, cultural, and sports activities, and discussing the youth experience in provincial and municipal councils and its effect in preparing active youth leadership.

During the meeting, Al-Natour reviewed the policies and procedures adopted by Amman Arab University to enhance the system of political modernization within the university campus. He highlighted the adoption of a legislative and institutional framework by the university that provides a safe and motivating environment for student participation in political life, within clear legal controls that ensure pluralism and freedom of opinion and expression, in line with the national legislation regulating party work. He also emphasized the vital role played by student clubs in the university, particularly the Rule of Law Club, in spreading political and legal awareness among students through organizing awareness seminars, specialized workshops, and open dialogue sessions, which contribute to building a mature political culture among youth, and enhancing their ability to participate actively and responsibly in democratic life.

This participation reflects Amman Arab University's commitment to enhancing partnerships with national and legislative institutions, and consolidating the role of universities as intellectual centers and incubators for constructive dialogue, contributing to the preparation of an aware and capable youth generation to participate in the political development and reform process in the kingdom.
