Khaberni - The chair of the House Oversight Committee, James Comer, disclosed new details on the relationship between financier Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender, and former President Bill Clinton.
Comer explained to reporters that the former Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, confirmed yesterday, Thursday, that Jeffrey Epstein had been present in the White House 17 times during Bill Clinton's presidency, indicating that the committee plans to confront Bill Clinton with these facts during his scheduled testimony on Friday.
He added: "We know that Bill Clinton flew on Jeffrey Epstein's plane at least 27 times."
For her part, Hillary Clinton denied on Thursday any knowledge of Epstein's crimes, asserting that she does not remember ever meeting him, and she outright denied ever traveling on his plane or visiting his private island.
The former President of the United States, Bill Clinton, is scheduled to testify before the Congressional committee this Friday.
The external session of the Oversight Committee is to be held at the "Chappaqua" Center for Performing Arts in the suburbs of New York.
This session comes after months of the Clinton family refusing to appear before the committee, although they finally agreed under the threat of legal action, provided that it would be held as a closed hearing in their residence city, instead of at the Capitol building in Washington, D.C.
It is worth noting that the American judiciary had charged Epstein in 2019 with trafficking minors for sexual exploitation. In July of the same year, the sex offender died in his cell, where investigations concluded that he had committed suicide.
