Khaberni - His Majesty King Abdullah II received today, Wednesday, the Director-General of the World Health Organization, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, to discuss health priorities at the national and regional levels.
During the meeting, which was held at Basman Palace in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Crown Prince, His Majesty emphasized the importance of expanding the partnership between Jordan and the organization to serve national health objectives and respond to health challenges.
His Majesty expressed his appreciation for the organization's support for several health programs in the Kingdom.
The meeting also covered various developments in the region, where His Majesty stressed the need to intensify international efforts to deliver humanitarian aid and medical needs to Gaza without restrictions.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, the Director of His Majesty's Office, Engineer Alaa Batayneh, and the Minister of Health, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Badour.
